 We in the Rathcoole Somme Society are committed to a practice which protects all children from harm.  All Committee members and volunteers accept and recognize our responsibilities to develop awareness of the issues surrounding Child Protection.

We will endeavor to safeguard our Children by:

1. Adopting child protection guidelines through a code of behavior for committee members and volunteers.
2. Sharing information about child protection and good practice with children, parents, volunteers and committee members.
3. Sharing information about concerns with agencies that need to be informed and involving parents and children appropriately.
4. Following carefully the procedures for recruitment and selection of volunteers and committee members.
5. Providing effective management of volunteers and committee members through support and training.

 

We are committed to reviewing our policies and good practice at regular intervals.
